At Jogan Health, not only do we work together to “make it happen”, we also build a culture of caring. Some companies find it hard to describe their heart of corporate culture. We care for our healthcare providers and about the communities in which we support, work, and live. Most importantly, we care about our team members that are located throughout the US.

We strive to create an environment where team members can thrive, collaborate and work together to build a new approach to healthcare staffing and emergency response.

Below is a social media post written by Terry Hasenauer, which he shared on LinkedIn, that really captures Jogan Health and the work environment we are creating. We are lucky to have team members like Terry and hope you enjoy his story and much as we did. Here’s to #JoganCulture and #JoganHeart!

Jogan Health Spotlight: Terry Hasenauer

After I retired from the Coast Guard in September of ’22, I accepted the position of Response Operations Manager for Jogan Health.

I didn’t immediately announce this transition because I didn’t really have a clear message to share about leaving what felt like a tepid career for a new, mysterious opportunity. Now I’m happy to share that in just a few short months, I am galvanized with profound gratitude and exuberance that Jogan Health has given me a chance to thrive as a crisis leader, thought partner, and innovator in the emergency management field. The fetters are off!

I love that our mission is humanitarian in nature. I love that the company logo is a heart! That resonates strongly with me and is a reminder in times of crisis to lead with compassion, kindness, and service. I have the privilege of collaborating with an inclusive, diverse, and talented group of emergency response cadre members.

As strangers, these amazing caregivers unite at an incident with the raw material to be effective, adaptable, intelligent, and compassionate responders and quickly form into a strong, dedicated, resilient team. I am so impressed by our cadre! All of this has inspired me to pour my energy, creativity, and industry into the response operations program.

Already, Jogan Health is on the way to having a qualification, certification, and credentialing program that exceeds National Qualification System standards. Cadre members will soon have access to myriad training and professional development opportunities. They will grow on and off the mission! I will work tirelessly to ensure that every responder is armed with knowledge and tools to enhance resiliency and sustainment.

This is what the Jogan heart means to me. And as Jogan Health becomes a vanguard presence in the emergency management industry, I will confidently deploy our professional cadre to support mass care, emergency sheltering, public health, and community recovery missions all around the Nation. Onward!

Malivone “Mali” Singha, an RN who had been travel nursing since 2016, was searching for change and opportunity late last year when she accepted an assignment at a mobile vaccination site in Oregon staffed by Jogan Health. At Jogan, she found an opportunity to both further her own goals, and join the mission of serving communities in need of health staffing solutions.

She found exactly what she was looking for – and much more.

“Jogan has been great and the experience, from a nurse’s perspective, has been very rewarding,” said Mali, who has been serving a site in Portland since Thanksgiving 2021. “I was impressed early on when Dan Dietrich, Jogan’s president, came in to meet us and explain what Jogan is all about. He also asked us questions and told us that he appreciated the work we were doing. He said that he is proud of the company for serving communities, and that is he is proud of us for what we do. It meant a lot that the head of the company would do that.”

Serving Communities, One Nurse At A Time

serving communities

Mali was born in Laos but immigrated to the United States with her family when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Georgia, where her parents worked multiple jobs to make ends meet. Her parents, who raised three daughters, put an emphasis on education. Mali went on to earn a degree in Biology, with Chemistry as a minor. After getting married and having two children, Mali taught high school. She also spent time working as a certified pharmacy technician.

Her introduction to nursing was influenced by a personal experience.

“My dad had a heart attack,” she explained. “One of the nurses that cared for him was a big motivator for me to go back and get my degree in nursing. I earned the degree and then worked as staff nurse all over the Atlanta area.”

Following a divorce, Mali decided to try the travel nurse route in April of 2016.

Mali’s Work At The Vaccination Site

“Ever since then, I have had the opportunity to help others in different nurse settings – bedside nursing, outpatient nursing, transfusion nursing and now vaccination nursing,” she said. “This is the first time I have worked a vaccination site. COVID has been tough on everyone, but daily I have seen the care that our staff is giving, and it makes me proud to be a nurse, proud to be able to help others.”

Mali is excited to share that her son Jacob has a degree in Nursing and is currently working in a cardiac critical care unit. Her daughter Katie just graduated from high school with a dual program in both high school and college courses. Mali’s youngest sister Malayphone, known as “Little Mollie,” is an associate RN now. And her middle sister (Rattanaphone, known as “Rachel”) has a degree in finance and is currently a manager for Image Skincare.

Our vaults at Jogan Health re filled to the brim with stories like Mali’s. We believe that individuals are the bedrock on which a strong community is built – this is why it is always our mission to support our caregivers and nurses. If you’re a traveling RN, check out our job board; and if you know somebody looking for placement, refer them to us!

July Jones, an LPN from Texas, worked as a Vaccination Nurse for Jogan Health in Colorado for five months before recently returning home. This Caregiver Spotlight is dedicated to her and people like her, who make up the foundation of healthcare processes everywhere.

Her personal story is inspiring, as are her collection of unique experiences.

A nurse for 18 years, July initially worked as a Medical Assistant before taking a role as an administrative assistant for a construction company that was part of recovery at ground zero at the World Trade Center in New York City.  She then moved to Texas to put up security entrances at airports before going back to school to become an LPN because, as she puts it, “I missed being in the healthcare field.”

Jogan Health appreciates the time July spent caring for communities in Colorado.

And she is quick to note her appreciation for Jogan Health.

“Jogan provided a great experience,” July said. “The supervisors were very approachable and available, the work was very rewarding and the pay was very competitive with the market. I would definitely recommend Jogan to other medical professionals.”

Jogan Health works with people like July every day, bringing the passion and commitment evident in her Caregiver Spotlight story to the forefront of healthcare job prospects that suit the potential employee’s lived experiences, work history, and technical skills. Contact us today!

Monica, Joey, Chandler . . . . We all have some form of appreciation for the TV show Friends. But at least one Jogan Health professional is a certified “Friends Freak.”

Martha Fuentes watches episodes of the 1990s sitcom constantly when she’s not on the job as a traveling Registration Technician for Jogan Health.

Her admission about Friends – along with the fact her cellphone is decorated in a Friends theme – leads to an obvious question: Were Ross and Rachel “on a break?”

“They were not on a break,” Martha, a Texas native who recently worked on an assignment with Jogan in Colorado, replied with a laugh.

Incidentally, Martha’s experience with Jogan in Colorado was filled with both “Friends” and actual real-life friends.

“One great thing about working for Jogan is that it gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of nurses and a lot of healthcare workers from different places,” she said. “I made a lot of new friends and really loved the opportunity Jogan gave me. Another great thing was the opportunity to travel for work. I would probably never have made it out of Texas, but suddenly there I was, working in a great place and experiencing a different part of the country.”

Jogan Health has always been about people. Every day, our team strives to improve the scaffolding holding up our communities. From health staffing to emergency management, if your medical organization’s needs are not being met, Jogan has your back. Contact us today!
