Announcing the Ticket Giveaway Winners!

Jogan Health announces the ticket giveaway winners Aubrey and Eneida. These two healthcare providers were respectfully invited to the Eras Tour and Little Big Town.

After two months of being active, the Jogan Health Concert Ticket Giveaway has ended. HPs Aubrey E. from Colorado SpringsCO, and Eneida P. from Newburgh, NY are the lucky winners of an unforgettable night. Aubrey won tickets to George Strait, Little Big Town on 6/24 and Eneida won tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour on 7/15.

The winners could invite a guest, and – in a heartwarming display of family bonding – they both chose to share the moment with their mothers. During the shows, they had access to Jogan Health’s premium suite, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. These legendary musicians gave fantastic performances and both Aubrey and Eneida enjoyed them side-by-side with Jogan Health’s own team members – including CEO Dan Dietrich

“They were very exciting nights,” says Dietrich. “It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know two of the people that, as a healthcare staffing organization, we rely on. Both Aubrey and Eneida are hardworking individuals, and they deserved an enjoyable night with their moms. They created memories that will last forever. I am glad we were able to provide that!”

Jogan Health has solidified itself as a company that genuinely cares about the hardest working members of the healthcare industry, as evidenced by Dietrich’s end-of-the-night comments.

“Every day, we feel absolutely honored to be a part of this healthcare industry and community.”

Jogan Health was founded on the principle of helping communities in need during healthcare staffing shortages. They delivered hospital surge staffing services to medical facilities and communities all over the country. Today, we focus on the “care” in healthcare by building staffing partnerships and expertly matching healthcare providers with facilities. A Story of Strength in the Face of Adversity

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.July 20, 2023

In a move that displays true empathy, Jogan Health offered two tickets to Katherine Gibson and her sister Laura. Unlike concert ticket winners from the Jogan Health Concert Ticket Giveaway, this gesture stems from a truly inspiring story, and not from luck or chance.

CEO Dan Dietrich, influencer Nurse Johnn, Katherine, Brand Manager Nicole Zimmerman, and Laura getting ready to kick-off an evening of making memories at the Taylor Swift concert.

Katherine contacted Jogan Health to share this testimonial and it moved CEO Dan Dietrich and his team immensely. Inspired by her sister’s work as a NICU speech pathologist, her mother’s work as an RN, and her roommate’s recent family loss to cancer, Laura decided to put her newfound love for cycling toward a worthy cause.

She enrolled in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. While training, Laura was struck by a car and suffered an orbital fracture, considerable facial trauma, and a concussion.

When Katherine heard that her sister was undergoing critical care in a medical facility near her work, she had to maintain her composure and finished her shift.

I knew that I was surrounded by people who needed me and that my sister was in great hands. As healthcare providers, we often need to put on a mask for the sake of our patients, and so that's what I did.

“I have Taylor Swift concert tickets, can I still go?” Those were the first words out of Laura’s mouth upon waking. The doctors denied her request, as she needed to remain under observation to ensure she was not suffering from neurological damage.

Dietrich jumped at the chance to make Laura and Katherine’s day. On a call with Jogan Health, they were invited to watch Taylor Swift perform live from Jogan’s private suite at Empower Field in Denver.

“This story means a lot to all of us at Jogan. Both Katherine and Laura showed immense fortitude during this time, and their family of healthcare providers has always prioritized care for their patients. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back and thank them for the important work they do,” said Dietrich. “We are thrilled to help create a memory that will last a lifetime.”

Katherine and Laura attended the Taylor Swift concert on 7/14 and it is Jogan Health’s hope that the experience helps them get through the months of recovery ahead.

At Jogan Health, we like to highlight the stories oof our employees, in an effort to thank them and ensure they know how much we value them. In essence, their personal and professional accounts of life at Jogan make up the living history of our organization’s influence on the healthcare system, and on individual lives.

Getting THPs from Point A to Point B has been Claire Boyles’ assignment since late January. And as she nears her 6-month mark later this month, the Jogan Health transportation specialist says she’s realizing how much she is learning.

About herself, about the Pacific Northwest – and about Jogan.

“Driving for a living is something I never thought I’d do, but I’m really enjoying it; and I’m really enjoying the daily interactions I have with nurses and with the people at the hotels where they are staying,” said Claire, who is from West Virginia, but is currently driving for Jogan Health’s operations in Oregon.

“It’s really been a learning experience and Jogan’s leadership has been great as I’ve grown into the driver role. The transportation team at Jogan headquarters have been very helpful. The whole thing is new to me, but I really am focused on helping Jogan accomplish its mission in Oregon.”

Claire, who spent time in the military, says getting to explore the scenic beauty of Bend, Eugene and other parts of Oregon is one of her favorite parts of the whole experience.

“It’s a completely new part of the United States for me and I love seeing it everyday, as I’m driving,” she says.

Like Claire, hundreds of Jogan’s employees – whether they’re legacy members or newcomers – believe in our mission to strengthen communities from the ground up. Contact us today for more information!

Amy Ables and Brandon Freeman each play a huge role in Jogan Health’s effort to care for communities. Working together and individually, they have served as leaders for epidemiology services, infectious disease control, case investigation, contact tracing and a host of other projects. It’s time to get to meet our team, and Amy and Brandon are the perfect two members to start with!

Amy Ables, Director of Case Investigation and Epidemiology Services

Amy, a BSN and RN, came to Jogan Health in 2021 as a travel nurse on a vaccine project in Colorado. She had been working and living in rural Kentucky.

“To say it was the best decision of my life is an understatement,” she says. “As a seasoned ER nurse and supervisor, I was limited on job selection to travel within my specialty. Jogan Health changed all that and gave me opportunity to grow within the company.”

Shortly after joining Jogan Health, Amy quickly advanced into a project management role at the corporate office, where she was part of the team that secured a grant to direct Covid-19 response efforts for Douglas County, Colorado. Amy credits her advancement to Jogan Health President and CEO Dan Dietrich, who believed in her leadership skills.

“With strong support from our top leadership and our Business Development team, I am lucky enough to also be part of some amazing innovation here at Jogan Health,” she says. “This career has been life changing in so many ways. If you’re asking why Jogan? Remember my story.”

Brandon Freeman, Epidemiologist

Brandon was hired in December 2021 as Jogan Health’s Lead Epidemiologist on the Case Investigation and Epidemiology services project. His initial role was to lead the COVID-19 response in Douglas County, Colorado, a community both close to his home and his heart.

“Moving from an epidemiologist position within the local government sector was a leap I was scared to take, but I can honestly say that I have zero regret,” Brandon says. “Jogan has cultivated an environment which encourages innovation and new ideas which has allowed me to better protect the health of the communities we serve. I was able to find myself on both project management and innovation teams where I am continuously challenged to learn and grow. I will forever be grateful to Jogan Health for giving me the liberty to not only better serve my own community, but also for empowering me to think so far outside of the box that people don’t know it even exists – an opportunity that has been lifechanging.”

Every good road trip story starts with a long list of plans and ends with an even longer list of unplanned incidents.

But for Pete and Adam Cantu, a father-son traveling nurse team, getting from Point A to Point B was only a small part of their Jogan Health journey. The only regret was that they had not tried it sooner.

In recognition of Father’s Day, we spotlight Pete and Adam, who began their adventure with an 18-hour drive from the southern tip of Texas to a Jogan Health mobile vaccination clinic in Colorado.

“I’ve been an LPN for a long time, but I’d always worked in acute care and in a hospital setting,” explained Pete, who accepted the traveling nurse assignment with Jogan Health to gain experience while also spend quality time with his son, Adam. “We both decided to join Jogan Health and provide care at a mobile vaccination site. It turned out to be a wonderful experience – not only for us a father and son, but also in helping a community during a tough time. We both enjoyed our time and we both appreciate the opportunity Jogan Health gave us.”

Adam, who became an LPN after encouragement by his father, had only one demand when the duo made the decision to become travel nurses.

“When dad and I talked about taking the Jogan Health assignment and he said, ‘let’s do it,’ I immediately replied ‘OK, we are driving across the country, not flying over it,’ and we are going to take in everything and enjoy the trip,” Adam said. “And that is exactly what we did. It was a wonderful thing for us.”

In Colorado, the Cantus spent their spare time sightseeing, hiking and exploring. They even did some tubing on a snow-covered mountain.

On the job, they provided much-needed care and met a lot of new friends.

“The people were awesome – both the patients we administered vaccines to and the other Jogan healthcare professionals we worked side-by-side with during our assignment,” Adam said. “To be able to experience all of that with my dad was incredible. We will always have stories to tell.”

A New Mexico hospital offered a public “Thank You” to Jogan Health for assistance it provided during a healthcare crisis that hit the region late last year. The San Juan Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) ordered emergency care standards in November 2021 as COVID case numbers climbed and its Intensive Care Unit had to be expanded.

Emergency Care Standards: Explained

Crisis standards of care are described as “peer-reviewed guidelines that help health care providers and health care systems decide how to deliver the best care possible under the extraordinary circumstances of a disaster or public health emergency when there are not enough resources.”

The New Mexico Department of Health turned to Jogan Health to facilitate the deployment of caregivers who worked tirelessly to care for the community during the crisis. The emergency care standards of care declaration was rescinded at the end of February.

“We cannot thank these incredible caregivers and the lawmakers who helped us secure their help enough. They came without hesitation and joined in immediately, providing immense relief and hope for our frontline caregivers who have been working nonstop since the pandemic began,” Jeff Bourgeois, President and CEO of SJRMC, said. “More importantly, I want to thank and recognize the caregivers’ loyalty to San Juan Regional and the patients we serve in our community.”

Throughout the standards of care declaration, SJRMC was able to support inpatient and outpatient care, as well as ancillary services for both COVID and non-COVID patients, thanks to the assistance it received, Bourgieois added.

Along with Jogan, the United States Department of Health and Human Services National Disaster Medical System deployed three separate Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT) and one critical care team to SJRMC to provide needed assistance and staffing. The United States Department of Defense, at the request of FEMA, sent two Navy Medical Response Teams to the hospital over the holidays to help caregivers during the surge.

Jogan’s caregivers were welcomed warmly as they were integrated into SJRMC’s clinical care model, according to Jogan President Dan Dietrich.

“It says a lot about the healthcare professionals we work with to staff hospitals and healthcare facilities around the country,” Dietrich said. “Throughout the pandemic, our people have stepped in a done what it takes to help care for communities in need.”
